Oppo has just unleashed its current flagship smartphone, Oppo N3 at an event in Singapore. The smartphone comes with a swivel camera as in its predecessor that will make it easier to capture selfies and this is the highlight of the device. Here is a quick review on the Oppo N3 purely based on its specifications.
Camera and Internal Storage
Oppo has given the N3 a 16 MP swivel camera that can rotate 206 degrees to capture selfies. The rotating snapper is motorized to enable it to rotate precisely to 0.012 degrees in order to capture the self portrait shots effortlessly. Furthermore, the sensor comes with Zeiss optics dual LED flash and an aperture of f/2.2 that will render impressive shots even under low light conditions. This snapper can also shoot panorama shots up to 64 MP of resolution and it includes features such as slow shutter, after focus, ultra macro mode, manual control and shooting in RAW that comes as a part of the Ultra image 2.0
The internal storage capacity of the N3 is quite ample with 32 GB of space that should be sufficient in storing all the necessary content. 64 GB MicroSD card support is also present for further expansion.
Processor and Battery
The processor used is 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 801 chipset housing a quad-core Krait 400 processor assisted by Adreno 320 graphics engine and 2 GB of RAM. Display and Features
The display in the Oppo N3 measures 5.5 inches in size and it boasts of a FHD 1920×1080 pixels. While it should be capable of rendering good levels of viewing angles and color reproduction, it is layered with the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection that can make it scratch resistant.
Running on Color OS 2.0 based on Android 4.4 KitKat, the Oppo N3 comes with dual SIM functionality, 4G LTE, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and GPS. Also, there is a O-Touch panel at the back as in the Oppo N1 and this is a fingerprint sensor that can unlock the smartphone securely.
