Lenovo Vibe X2 was well received in India, thanks to its innovative layered design and high end specifications, all for 19,999 INR. We have spent some quality time with Vibe X2 over past couple of weeks and this post is an attempt to answer popular questions regarding Vibe X2 that we have been getting.

Question – Does Lenovo Vibe X2 has LED notification?

Answer – Yes, It does have LED notification light.

Question – How Many Sensors does Vibe Z2 have?

Answer – Lenovo Vibe X2 comes with accelerometer, light, proximity, orientation and magnetic sensors.

Question – Does Vibe X2 come with Gorilla Glass 3 on the Display?

Answer – Yes, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection is present on top

Question – How much Did Vibe Z2 score in Antutu, Quadrant and Nenamarks?

Answer – The Vibe X2 scored  58.5 Fps at Nenamark2 and 46,271 on Antutu Benchmarks. Performance was mostly smooth. Graphic performance wasn’t the best that we have seen but is far from being disappointing.

Question – Does it Support USB OTG?

Answer – No, Lenovo Vibe X2 supports USB OTG Connectivity.

Question – Does Vibe X2 support WiFi Hotspots?

Answer – Yes, Vibe X2 does support WiFi hotspots functionality.

Question – Out of 32 GB how much storage is available at user end?

Answer –  More than 26 GB is available at user end. There is no separate partition for apps.

Question – How is the Display?

Answer –  The 5 Inch full HD display is a very decent quality panel. Viewing angles are great and so is the color reproduction. Touch is smooth and responsive. The display is also covered by Gorilla Glass 3 which makes it durable.

Question – What comes inside the Box?

Answer – Vibe X comes with USB cable, headphones (in ear, good quality), 1.5 Ampere Charger, SIM ejection tool, USB cable, scratch guard, transparent case and documentation.

Question – How is the Camera Quality?

Answer – The camera quality is good, but again not the best that we have seen. The camera app is simple to use with some useful filters. The camera wasn’t very snappy and we did encounter some shutter lag at times. Day light performance was very good. Camera struggled with colors in low light condition

Question – Can Camera Record 1080p Videos?

Answer – Yes, both front and rear camera can record 1080p Full HD videos.

Question – How is GPS Locking?

Answer – GPS locking worked fine for us even indoors

Question – What kind of SIM card does Vibe X2 support?

Answer – Vibe X2 Accepts Micro SIM and Nano SIM card. You cannot make 3G Video calls directly via cellular network. Both SIM cards support 4G/3G.

Question – How Loud is Loudspeaker on Vibe X2?

Answer – The loud speaker is loud enough. speaker is at the back which means the sound gets muffled when its resting on its back.

Question – Can Vibe X2 play Full HD 1080p Videos?

Answer – Yes we tried playing a few HD and Full HD videos everything worked smoothly.

Question – Can Vibe X2 be connected to Bluetooth headsets?

Answer – Yes, you can connect it to Bluetooth headset

Question – Will Lenovo offer Android 5.0 Lollipop Update?

Answer – Lenovo hasn’t guaranteed or confirmed Lollipop upgrade yet. It’s likely that Motorola will offer the update, but the time frame for the same is anybody’s guess.

Question – How is the battery backup?

Answer – Battery backup is average. we could get one day backup with moderate usage. On screen time is between 3 to 5 hours.

Question – How is the Build Quality of Vibe X2?

Answer – Build quality is the highlight of this phone. The metal frame unibody smartphone with slim profile and different color layers stacked on top of each other works well for us.

Conclusion

Lenovo Vibe X2 is a well crafted unibody smartphone with MT6595 octa core 4g LTE chipset powering the device. While it impresses with day to day performance, camera performance and UI leaves us wanting for more.   5. I am using Lenovo vibe x2 since 15 days. Only issue is awkward battery backup. Antutu benchmark scores at any given time stood at 46000+. I was shocked as the scores left behind mammoth HTC Samsung etc… but those scores are unverified. Googled further n know thhat some Chinese manufacturers cheating the scoring also. I’ve came to know installing Antutu officer n make it work gets the real picture out. The app should work if the manufacturer is not cheating otherwise the app becomes unresponsive. For me the 2nd thing happened. What the opinion sir.

  7. yes most manufacturers like cheat in benchmarks and thus we don’t solely trust benchmarks for performance. Lenovo generally plays fair

  11. skype calls doesnt work in this phone. speakers stops working when u make a skype call.
    speaker will start working only if u restart the phone. if u make a skype call again then again the speaker will stop working. Please try this.


  12. Sir,can we change LED notification colours??? And my vib x2 battery backup is very poor hardly 1-2 hours on 3g.can u pls tell me any alternate solution for back up??


  13. I’m in America and have AT&T, lenovo says its 4g capable but on the screen it only says 3g. On the top of that, my data actually is not working at all. When I go to set it up, the only options I have is to select service from China and not in the country of my own. Can you help me?

    In My Lenovo Xibe x2 wi fi continuous showing on and not functional to make in off nor catching network and hotspot also not taking on. So, Can you Help on This Regard Please????


  15. wifi bars in the status bar alone don’t been than WiFi is connected. Please make it forget the network and connect again. make sure the password is correct. also check if all 4 lights are blinking on your router


  16. most such cases are due to improper SIM cutting. Ask your cellular service provider to issue another SIM card.

  19. that could be due to various reasons. Updates tend to break stuff more often than not. You should contact customer care center, they will help you. Lenovo will release update to fix these issues too

    I am using Lenovo Vibe X2 AP and I want to know that does Lenovo sends service or welcome message to activate the warranty or update of purchase or subscription of the phone. Previoudly I used n no.of phones and I had to send message but I didn’t had to do on Lenovo. Im afraid that Im being provided a second hand phone.

  21. I have updated my Lenovo Vibe x2 to Loolipop 5.0 15 days back, since then Mobile data is not connecting, the sim shows “H” and “H+” but no data can be downloaded or uploaded. WiFi is working just fine. Can you please help me???


  22. No, its fine. If you are talking about messages to activate 3G, etc. Then it is not mandatory. I didn’t need to send any messages either, for a long time now, and i regularly switch between devices

    my Lenovo vibe x2 doesn’t allow me to go into system update. Every time it says – Unfortunately, settings has stopped. I tried factory data reset ones, but didn’t help. Is there any other option? I don’t want to send my phone back until necessary.

  25. I’m using lenovo vibe x2 there is one problem outgoing calls are not able.dial the number and call it “call forwarding on conditional” this is displayed and call was end.

    If i talking to 1 sim and. Sm1 call me on sim 2.. Then caller will hear weating…or caller hear a ring..

    Means if a sim 1 call is contine
    .other people can hear a weating or jst a ring..

    I am using Lenovo X2-AP, everything is working fine. But have one problem. I am trying to connect the phone to my card audio auxillay input using a male to make connector. However it seems to be not working. When I connect jack and play music, it plays the music in the phone speaker instead of sending it through the cable. What is the solution ?
