Asus has released Android 4.4 KitKat based Transformer Pad TF103 and Windows 8.1 powered Transformer Book T200 tablets in India. The latter is a portable tablet with an 11.6 inch display that can be transformed into a laptop with a keyboard dock. Besides these devices, the vendor has announced the Transformer Flip Book laptop with a 15.6 inch display and support for 360 degree rotating.
Talking of specifications, the Transformer Pad TF103 arrives with a 10.1 IPS display with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels, support for 10 finger multi-touch and 170 degree viewing angles. This tablet makes use of a 1.6 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 processor that is coupled with 1 GB of RAM. In terms of storage, there is 8 GB of native storage capacity that can be extended externally by another 64 GB with the help of a micro SD card.
Based on Android 4.4 KitKat, the Transformer Pad TF103 flaunts a low end camera department with a 2 MP primary camera at its back and a VGA front facing selfie shooter. Other aspects onboard the tablet include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and a 5,070 mAh battery capable of rendering up to 9.5 hours of browsing and video playback respectively.
The Asus Transformer Book T200, on the other hand is fitted with a 11.6 inch IPS display with HD resolution of 1366×768 pixels and 178 degree wide viewing angle. On the hardware front, this display features a 1.46 GHz quad-core Intel Bay Trail Z3775 processor with Intel HD Graphics supplemented with 2 GB of RAM.
Storage wise, there is ample 32 GB of native storage capacity that can be expanded externally by another 64 GB and 500 GB hard disk drive as well. The Windows 8.1 based hybrid comes with a 5 MP primary snapper and a 2 MP front facing selfie shooter. Other goodies of the device are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 3.0 port, micro HDMI and a battery.
When it comes to the pricing, the Asus Transformer Pad TF103 is priced at Rs 19,999 and the Transformer Book T200 is priced at Rs 35,999.
