Karbonn has launched a Android tablet Karbonn ST72, with entry level hardware and dual tone back cover, selling on Snapdeal for 6,800 INR only. The 7 inch display tablet is available in White, Black and Grey colors and is meant for basic tablet functionality.
The 7 inch display is lined with 1024 x 600 pixels, powered by 1.3 GHz dual core processor, 512 MB RAM and 4 GB internal storage. The humble SoC at the heart of ST72 will be a limiting factor, even with option for 32 GB secondary MicroSD storage.
If you plan don’t mind putting the 7 inch form factor to your ears, you can avail GSM calling facility via dual SIM card slot. This also allows you to use WhatsApp and 3G on your portable tablet.
Software is light and efficient Android 4.4.2 KitKat which is more of a necessity than privilege considering the hardware. For photography, there is 3.2 MP rear camera coupled with VGA front shooter for video calling.
Karbonn ST72 is 8.9 mm thick and houses an average 2800 mAh battery. Other features include WiFi, 3.5 mm Audio Jack, Bluetooth, FM radio and AGPS. Karbonn ST72 is quite elementary tablet which can be used for basic web surfing, calling, watching multimedia content, etc. At these prices, there is not much reason to complain.
