Xiaomi Redmi Note to Officially launch in India on 24 November

If you frequent Xiaomi’s Facebook page, you would know how desperately and emotionally users have been asking for Xiaomi to unleash its Redmi Note in India. The time for the same has finally arrived. Xiaomi is all set to launch its Note phablet in India on 24th November, i.e. Monday for 9,999 INR or lesser.

Like all things Xiaomi, Redmi Note lists hardware specifications far too dazzling for the asking price. It comes with an IPS LCD Display, 5.5 Inches in size with 720p HD resolution. It is powered by MediaTek MT6592 True Octa core SoC with 2 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage.

Other highlights include 13 MP rear camera, 5 MP front camera and a massive 3200 mAh battery. The software is however quite dated with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean based MIUI. Domestic competition is already gearing up to match its glory on paper.

Specs are only half the story and a base for decent user experience. Arrival of Redmi Note also hints that Redmi 1s shall retail for one last time on 25th November. We will be present on the ground and update you with the latest info as soon as it surfaces. Availability will most likely be scheduled for 2nd December, 2014.

Considering that OnePlus One has almost reached India, do you think outing flagship Xiaomi Mi4 would have been a better move? Perhaps Xiaomi is waiting for OnePlus to lay its cards on the table.
