Soon after Eluga S and Eluga I, another Panasonic Eluga series smartphone – Eluga I is now selling on Flipkart for 10,990 INR. The price is almost same as of Eluga S which comes with an Octa Core chipset (Vs Quad Core) and bigger selfie shooter.
The display is 5 inches in size with 720 x 1280 pixels spread across it. Its an IPS LCD display fueled by 1.3 GHz MT6582 quad core processor with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage. This can be further expanded by another 32 GB using MicroSD support.
Software is Android 4.4.2 KitKat with Eluga series signature Fit Home UI on top. You can assign multiple finger touch sweep gestures for different apps and tasks. Blink Play which allows you to click selfies by blinking, is also included.
Imaging hardware includes 8 MP rear shooter and a 2 MP selfie camera at the front. You can record full HD and HD videos from the rear autofocus camera. Battery capacity is moderate 2000 mAh and Panasonic hasn’t mentioned any back up stats so far.
Other features include Dual SIM functionality, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and GPS. Panasonic has also bundled an interactive flip cover inside the box. Panasonic Eluga I seems to be another run of the mill MT6582 device with nothing particularly interesting. The pricing also makes Eluga S seem to be a better option for almost the same price.
