While the shipping of Nexus 6 in India has debuted, the Nexus 9 tablet has landed on Amazon India. The tablet that was unveiled in October is listed on the Play Store India for Rs 28,900 for the 16 GB Wi-Fi only model and Rs 44,900 for the 32 GB LTE model. Now, the 16 GB variant has made its way to the online retailer for the same pricing and the LTE variant is also expected land on the retailer soon.
Notably, while the Play Store listing has not yet revealed the availability of the Nexus 9, Amazon has listed the 16 GB Wi-Fi only variant of the slate for sale.
When it comes to specifications, the Nexus is given an 8.9 inch IPS display with a resolution of 2048×1536 pixels and is topped with protective Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating. Powering the tablet is a 64 bit Nvidia Tegra K1 processor teamed up with Kepler graphics engine and 2 GB of RAM.
The tablet uses an 8 MP primary camera at its rear with auto focus, LED flash and FHD 1080p video recording and a 1.6 MP front facing camera as well with support for HD 720p video recording. A 6,700 mAh battery energizes the tablet from within. Other aspects of the Nexus 9 include dual front facing speakers with HTC BoomSound and Android 5.0 Lollipop platform.
