Toshiba WT-8 Windows Tablet Launched for 15,490 INR, Exclusive to Amazon

Toshiba has launched the highly anticipated Windows 8.1 based tablet called Toshiba WT-8 for the Indian market via its exclusive online partner Amazon. The device is priced at Rs 15,490 and it is available for sale starting from today.

The Toshiba WT-8 Windows tablet carries an 8 inch multi-touch display with a HD screen resolution of 1280×800 pixel resolution. The slate is incorporated with a quad core Intel Atom Z3735G processor clubbed with 1 GB of RAM that are claimed to provide the necessary performance, stunning graphics, fast browsing and multitasking.

The Toshiba tablet packs in 32 GB of native storage capacity to store necessary content alongside expandable storage support up to 64 GB using a micro SD card. Furthermore, the WT-8 comes with a high quality 5 MP primary camera at its rear and a 1.2 MP front facing selfie snapper. It is claimed that the rear camera comes with TruCapture application that works with the integrated cameras to click and correct snapshots of blackboards, whiteboards and books to make the content sharp and clear.

There are connectivity aspects including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, Wireless display support and USB 2.0 ports and a 3,788 mAh battery that is claimed by the firm to render up to 10 hours of general use and up to 8 hours of video playback respectively.


Furthermore, the WT-8 Windows tablet comes preinstalled with Xbox Music and Video, Kindle Reader, Skype and a one year subscription to Office 365. Also, there is Dolby Digital Plus to render a superior sound experience. Notably, the tablet that comes with such impressive features lacks 3G support for a faster connectivity.
