Last month, HTC launched the Desire 620 and Desire 620G smartphones and now, it has let out the latter on sale in India for a pricing of Rs 15,423. Though the handset is available on sale via Snapdeal, we expect it to be launched officially soon.
To refresh on the specifications, the Desire 620G is fitted with a 5 inch IPS display with HD 720p pixel resolution and a pixel density of 294 pixels per inch. The handset is powered by an octa core MediaTek MT6592 chipset ticking at 1.7 GHz clock speed. This processor is teamed up with 2 GB of RAM and Mali 450-MP4 graphics engine to handle the multi-tasking and graphic requirements respectively.
The Desire 620G bundles a standard 8 GB of internal storage space that can be expanded externally by another 32 GB with the help of a micro SD card. The imaging hardware of the device comprises of an 8 MP primary camera with LED flash and support for FHD 1080p video recording. Also, the HTC offering boasts of a 5 MP front facing selfie camera with BSI sensor to click better selfies even under low light conditions.
The Desire 620G is packed with connectivity features such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G HSPA+, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and dual SIM functionality. Under its hood, there is a 2,100 mAh battery that is removable and it is expected to pump in a decent backup to the smartphone. Fueled by Android 4.4 KitKat, the smartphone is topped with HTC Sense 6 UI.
