Lava has launched its new smartphone – Iris Fuel 60, powered for the long run, priced at 8,888 INR in India. The phone compiles interesting hardware for the asking price and will be up against recently launched big battery phones like Celkon Millennia Epic, Intex Aqua Power and Gionee Marathon M3.

Lava Iris Fuel 60 sports a fully laminated 5 Inch IPS LCD display with 720p HD resolution. The sharp display is also protected by Gorilla Glass 3 on top, which is again commendable in this price range.

The major highlight of this device is the 4000 mAh battery, which according to Lava will last for 32 hours of talk time on 2G. Lava also claims a quick charge mechanism, which can fully charge this juicy battery in 3 hours 15 minutes.

Chipset used is conventional MT6582 quad core clocked at 1.3 GHz and assisted by 1 GB RAM, Mali 400 MP2 GPU and 8 GB internal storage. You can also expand this further by another 32 GB using MicroSD card slot.

Other features include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v3.0, USB OTG and GPS. All components are connected to PCBA via connectors (instead of permanent soldering) and this will help with easy repair, which in turn leads to better customer service.
