Intex has today launched a new entry level android smartphone, Intex Aqua V2 priced at 3,090 INR. The hardware is quite basic, as expected in this price range. The handset is meant for first time android users switching from feature phones.
The display is 3.5 inches in size with HVGA (480 X 320) resolution. Aqua V2 is powered by 1GHz single core Spreadtrum (SC7715) processor with 256 MB RAM and 104 MB internal storage available at the user end.
This is indeed quite less to make ends meet on an Android smartphone, even with resource efficient Android 4.4 KitKat on board. As far as storage space goes, you can also add 32 GB of additional MicroSD storage to store media files and other content.
For photography, there is a basic 2 MP rear shooter paired with a VGA front camera. You can expect much from basic imaging hardware, nevertheless it is there to check all boxes. Battery capacity is 1300 mAh, which according to the company can deliver up to 6-8 hours of talk time and up to 180 hours of standby time.
Intex Aqua V2 measures 116.8×60.8×10.6mm and weighs moderate 112 grams. In spite of basic hardware, Intex has decided to include 3G connectivity. Other connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, GPRS/ EDGE and GPS/ A-GPS.
