CES 2015: Lenovo Vibe Xtension Selfie Flash For Natural Color Selfies even in Bad Lighting

Caching on the booming Selfie culture worldwide, Lenovo has introduced VIBE Xtension Selfie Flash at CES 2015. This handy accessory can be used to capture well lit selfies in low light conditions.

Lenovo’s Xtensions were first heard of and associated with the Chinese manufacturer’s layered smartphone Vibe X2, which allowed for extra accessory layer (speakers, battery case, etc) to be added as a fourth layer.

Vibe Xtension Selfie Flash, however is not a separate layer but a small accessory which plugs into 3.5 mm audio jack of any smartphone. It is made up of 8 diffused LEDs in a round metal casing and can supplement ambient light for better and natural color tones in your selfies.  It doesn’t actually flash but emits a steady light when you press a button on the back.

There is an 80 mAh rechargeable battery which can last for up to 100 selfie flash. You can also use it to aid primary camera under low light conditions. If this works as intended, Selfie lovers will indeed validate it as a must have accessory. When plugged in Vibe X2, the phone automatically clicks selfies every three seconds after you press the button.

VIBE Xtension Selfie Flash has been priced at $29 (Approx 1800 INR) and will be available for purchase later in April 2015.
