At the CES 2015 tech show that was held in Las Vegas, Philips announced the Fidelio NC1L on-ear headphones. This is the first ever Active Noise Cancelling headphones to go battery free with a direct digital connection to the iOS device using a Lightning connector. There is 24 bit Digital to Analog Conversion (DAC) and amplification and noise cancellation in the headphones that ensures an immersive musical experience that lets users enjoy even minute details.

The Philips Fidelio Headphones NC1L combines high quality sound, advanced technology and sophisticated design and operates in three modes namely Active Noise Cancelling for a completely immersive noise cancellation experience, Open-ear listening that lets in ambient noise enabling users to hear what is going on around when the headphones is in use and Natural voice that renders a calibrated level of Active Noise Cancellation to render a natural and comfortable experience while a microphone is used on call.

The Philips Fidelio NC1L headphones makes use of a hybrid Active Noise Cancellation technique that has four microphones to detect ambient noise before reverting the signal that leads to cancelling it out effectively and converting the background noise to silence. There are a couple of FeedBackward microphones that are positioned besides the headphone drivers offering strong noise cancellation even at low frequencies. There is another couple of them at the exterior of the headphones to extend the bandwidth of noise cancellation to the mid and high frequencies.

The headphones makes use of a full chain of audiophile grade components that are teamed up with high bandwidth and high precision neodymium drivers. This combination renders a truly exceptional sound experience even while on the go. The compact, foldable and lightweight profile of the Philips offering alongside the memory foam ear pads offer an ergonomic fit, a greater comfort and breathability. Eventually, this will ensure that the users continue to enjoy the sound delivered by the headphones even on long hours of usage.
