The Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi is highly anticipated to unveil its flagship device on January 15 at an event in Beijing. The vendor is making rounds in speculations for the launch of the Redmi Note successor and Mi 5. But, a recent teaser from Xiaomi and the specifications that have been leaked by @upleaks confirm that the firm will be unveiling the Redmi Note 2 at this week’s event.

As per a report from GizmoChina, the teaser depicts a puzzle that boasts of the features of the device and the caption when translated reads “our new flagship is the Redmi Note, thinner, larger, lighter, faster, hifi-sound and all glass laminate”. Another teaser shows two hands as if they are holding two devices and this hints that Xiaomi could be planning to unveil couple of them.

When it comes to leaked specifications, the entrusted leakster @upleaks claimed that the Redmi Note 2 will be boasting of a 5.7 inch display with a FHD screen resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and employ a Snapdragon 615 chipset teamed up with 2 GB of RAM. It appears like the phablet will be flaunting a 13 MP primary camera and a 5 MP front facing selfie snapper to meet the imaging requirements. It is also claimed that the Redmi Note 2 will be coming with 16 GB or 32 GB of native storage support and a 3,600 mAh battery and be priced at $249.
