Motorola will Open Exclusive Experience Centers in India Starting from Bangalore

It won’t be wrong to say Motorola started the ‘online exclusive’ trend in India with the launch of Moto G last year and today most other manufacturers have treaded this path which allows them keep price in check by saving on logistics and distribution cost.

Motorola didn’t have much option with the launch of Moto G as it had already terminated its sales and distribution network a few years back. Motorola is pleased with the success it has achieved in India and has confirmed that it will stick to the online retail model for future.

However, to allow consumers to experience Motorola product before they buy them, Motorola plans on opening Motorola Exclusive Stores and experience centers in different part of the country. The first Motorola Exclusive store will open in Bangalore. This will be followed by 5 to 10 other store in major Indian cities.

These Motorola Experience centers will have a chaos counter, where customers can visit and get help resolving their issues. Users can also get software updates flashed at these experience centers. Motorola expects these stores to fill the void consumers are experiencing with the current online sales model.

The company has sold over 3 Million Motorola smartphones in just 10 months in India, which is an achievement considering zero presence on the ground. Motorola will not retail devices from these experience centers. The online sales model will remain unchanged.
