Back in January, there were speculations that a new smartphone is in the making and that it will be grabbing the world’s slimmest smartphone title from Vivo X5 Max with a thin profile of 4.7 mm. As claimed, the Coolpad Ivvi K1 Mini has gone official and it has dethroned the Vivo offering. The handset has been announced in China for a pricing of CNY 1,299 that translates to $207. As of now, there is no detail regarding the global availability of this smartphone.
In terms of build, the Coolpad Ivvi K1 Mini measures 4.7 mm thin that is 0.05 mm thinner than the Vivo X5 Max and 0.15 mm thinner than the Oppo R5 respectively. It has pushed the other Chinese offerings with slim profiles behind and has grabbed the crown. Also, there is a baby skin texture at its back that makes it resistant to fingerprints.
When it comes to specifications, the Coolpad Ivvi K1 Mini does not have high end aspects as it comes with a 4.7 inch Display of unknown resolution and employs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor with 64 bit computing. The processor is teamed up with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of native storage space that can be expanded further up to 32 GB with the help of a micro SD card.
The Coolpad Ivvi K1 Mini houses an 8 MP primary snapper at its back and a front facing 5 MP selfie snapper as well. There is support for 4G LTE connectivity and a very small 1,800 mAh battery. But, it has to be accepted that the handset would not have enough space to accommodate a larger battery. Anyways, the addition of a micro SD card slot at despite the slim build is a great move.
