Samsung has launched the 4G variant of three smartphones including the Galaxy Core Prime. The Galaxy Core Prime 4G slated to go on sale in March and its pricing is yet to be announced. For those who are waiting to grab this smartphone, here is a quick review on it.

Camera and Internal Storage

Samsung Galaxy Core Prime 4G features a 5 MP rear camera backed with LED flash for better low light photography. Up front, there is a 2 MP selfie snapper that should suffice in mediocre quality video chatting sessions and selfies. It appears to arrive with pretty basic imaging aspects.

Internal storage space is 8 GB and it can be further expanded to up to 64 GB using a micro SD card. This capacity is on par with the other mid-rangers that are available in the market and hence, we do not have any issues in this regard.

Processor and Battery

The processor employed under the hood of the Galaxy Core Prime 4G is a 1.2 GHz quad core unit that is assisted by 1 GB of RAM. Though the specific chipset used in the device is not known, we expect it to render decent performance.


Battery capacity is a 2,000 mAh unit. The vendor has not revealed the specific backup that this battery will render, but we expect it to render decent hours of life.

Display and Features

The display is 4.5 inches in size and it carries an average resolution of 480×800 pixels that translates to 207 ppi pixel density. This screen is expected to render good viewing angles when viewed from any angle and handle all the basic functionalities efficiently.

The handset runs on latest Android 4.4 Kitkat and supports connectivity aspects such as dual SIM functionality, 4G, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and GPS.

Comparison

Samsung Galaxy Core Prime 4G will be a stiff competitor against smartphones such as Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G, Micromax Yureka, Lenovo S90, LG F60 and others.
