MWC 2015: BlackBerry Leap launched with a 5-inch HD display and 2 GB RAM, Curve screen slider teased

BlackBerry has shown off the goodies at MWC 2015, but there are no big fireworks. The company has launched the BlackBerry Leap with specs such as a 5-inch display with 294ppi display density. It like BlackBerry is trying to make its mark in the low-end market with Leap since it doesn’t boasts of any great specs. As far as the internals go, the device runs the ages old S4 Plus chip, a 1.5-GHz dual-core Krait CPU and 2 GB RAM. The Leap also supports 16 gigs of Internal and expandable MicroSD storage up to 128 GB.

The BlackBerry Leap comes runs on a 2800 mAh battery which the company claims can last up to 25 hours. In the rear side, the BlackBerry Leap supports an 8 MP auto-focus camera with LED flash, 1080p videos at 30 fps and 5X digital zoom. It runs the BlackBerry 10.3.1 OS out of the box.

The device will launch in April at a price of $275 (Around Rs. 16,000)

Apart from this, the company has also teased a curved screen slider device. The device made a brief appearance at the event. The device was shown off only to tease the audience ad create some hype. A physical keyboard and curved display do make this device quite interesting.
