Xolo has launched Q600 Club, a conventional smartphone, which aims to please budget conscious audiophiles with Loud Box speakers, accompanied by external power amplifier and DTS (Digital Theater System) surround sound Audio. Another distinctive feature is Smart Remote Solution, which allows it to control TV, AC, DVR and other devices.
Apart from these highlights, other features are similar to Android one and most other budget quad cores on paper. Xolo Q600 comes equipped with a 4.5 Inch 5 point multi touch IPS LCD FWVGA (854 X 480) display, powered by capable 1.3 GHz MediaTek MT6582M quad core chipset with only 512 MB RAM and paltry 4 GB expandable internal storage. We would have liked at least 1 GB RAM in the device.
Besides, there is a 5 MP rear camera and a VGA front shooter for basic photography needs. Other features include 1800 mAh battery, MicroSD slot, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. Software is Android 4.4 KitKat.
Recommended: Micromax Canvas Fire 4 with Dual Frontal Speakers and Android 5.0 Lollipop Launched at 6,999 INR
Sure, the phone offers loud video speakers, but the chipset makes it hard to recommend, especially for a price where you have abundant better options. There are Android One devices, Lenovo A6000, Micromax Canvas Fire 4, upcoming Moto E to name a few. In coming weeks, we expect to see a lot more Android 5.0 Lollipop running phones in low cost market too.
