ToggleCamera and Internal Storage
The rear camera used in Honor 6 Plus combines two 8 MP sensors to gather dept of field information which can be used for background defocus post clicking – something which was trendy some time mid 2014. Huawei Honor 6 Plus seems to accomplish this rather efficiently. The camera app also allows you to choose lens aperture to better play with depth in images.
Apart from the refocus feature, the camera can record good quality 1080p videos and some fabulous still shots. We liked the camera performance of both the front and rear camera on Honor 6 Plus. You can also capture 16:9 10 MP images and 4:3 13 MP images. Camera app is feature rich and allows you to toggle ISO, exposure and whitebalance.
Out of 32 GB, 25.77 GB is available at use end. You can also further extend this by using up to 128 GB SD card storage. Apps can be moved to SD card. Within native storage, there is no separate partition for apps.

Processor and Battery
Huawei is using its home made Kirin 925 octa core combines Quad-core Cortex-A15 and quad-core Cortex-A7 while using the same Mali T628MP4 GPU as in Honor 6. The chipset is aided by 3 GB RAM, of which little more than 1 GB is available on first boot. This leaves ample for high end gaming and efficient multitasking, even in long run.
Battery capacity is 3600 mAh, which is again a big number. A 2 Ampere charger comes bundled in the box, thus it won’t take forever to charge the battery.
With heavy usage, we managed to exhaust full battery before one day, but that included more than one hour video streaming, couple of hours of music playback, benchmarking and 25 minutes of gaming, preliminary camera testing and more. Conventional users are expected to last more than a day comfortably.

Display and Other Features
Honor 6 had a dazzling display, and Honor 6 Plus is a worthy successor. The crisp IPS LCD display is characterized by great viewing angles, colors and brightness. Worth what it’s worth, a settings option let’s you toggle with color temperature, to an extent, but default settings seems to work best.
The display mirrors Huawei’s own Emotion UI 3.0 on top of Android 4.4 KitKat, which offers plenty customization options and toggles. The magazine lockscreen feature greets you with a new lockscreen wallpaper, each time you unlock. Another interesting feature is a vertical sidebar running through the length of notification panel, indicating the time each notification generated.

Conclusion
Honor 6 Plus is a great phone doing most of the things right, but still appears a bit overpriced in price sensitive Indian Market. We can’t help but wonder how a 16 GB storage variant with about 3k knocked off the price would have fared in India. If Emotion UI is in line with your taste, and if you are willing to invest above 25k, Honor 6 Plus won’t disappoint you.
