Previously, Asus announced that it will be launching three variants of the Zenfone 2 in India in the last week of April. Now, the firm has started sending out the media invites for the launch confirming that the lineup will be launched on April 23.
Well, by saying three variants we mean the ZE500CL, ZE550ML and ZE551ML models of the Zenfone 2 in India, which are not all same as the one unveiled at CES this year.
To recap on their specifications, Zenfone 2 ZE500CL is given a 5 inch HD 720p display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and it is powered by a 1.6 GHz dual core Intel Atom Z2560 processor paired with 2 GB of RAM. The device bundles 16 GB of native storage space that can be expanded up to 64 GB and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop platform.
For imaging, the Zenfone 2 ZE500CL makes use of an 8 MP main snapper at its back with LED flash and a 2 MP selfie snapper at the front. The other aspects of the device include 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, Android 5.0 Lollipop OS and a 2,500 mAh battery.

When it comes to the Zenfone 2 ZE550ML, the smartphone boasts of a 5.5 inch HD 720p display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is stuffed with a 1.8 GHz quad core Intel Atom Z3560 processor teamed up with PowerVR G6430 graphics unit, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of default memory capacity expandable up to 64 GB.
The imaging hardware of the Zenfone 2 ZE550ML comprises of a 13 MP primary camera with LED flash, Real Tone flash and f/2.2 aperture and a 5 MP front facing selfie shooter for video conferencing. The connectivity aspects and OS remain the same as in the previous model. Zenfone 2 ZE550ML makes use of a 3,000 mAh battery and it is a dual SIM device.

Lastly, the Zenfone 2 ZE551ML has two sub-variants based on their hardware aspects. One model employs a 1.8 GHz quad core Intel Atom Z3560 chipset and 2 GB of RAM and the other one makes use of a 2.3 GHz quad core Intel Atom Z3580 processor with 4 GB of RAM.
Otherwise, the Zenfone 2 ZE551ML flaunts a 5.5 inch FHD 1080p display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is a dual SIM handset running on Android 5.0 Lollipop and it packs 16 GB, 32 GB or 64 GB of native storage space that can be expanded up to 64 GB. There is a 13 MP main snapper with LED flash, real tone flash and f/2.0 aperture and a 5 MP selfie snapper onboard. Connectivity aspects onboard include 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS and there is a 3,000 mAh battery pumping energy to it.
