Another Chinese player, Phicomm will set foot in India on June 3 with the launch of 4G LTE smartphone Passion P660. Like most other debutant Chinese offerings, you can expect an aggressive price to furnish sufficient momentum in order to offset derision with which lesser known Chinese brands are usually greeted with.
Xiaomi managed to buck this trend and Meizu had a good start this week and perhaps, that will instill more confidence in Phicomm.
Talking of specs, Phicomm Passion P660 includes Snapdragon 615 64 bit octa core clocked at 1.5 GHz, supported by 2 GB RAM and Adreno 405 GPU. Display will be 5.2 Inches in size sewn up with 1920 x 1080p full HD resolution.
Imaging hardware includes 13 MP rear – 5 MP front camera combination, while 32 GB of Nand flash (expandable) is present to satiate even the most demanding users. Looks like battery capacity has been sacrificed at the altar of slim design (7.4 mm). It remains to be seen how far the 2300 mAh battery can be stretched on this Android 4.4 KitKat running Full HD display smartphone.
Phicomm has checked almost all of the right spec boxes. Passion P660 debuts on June 3, 2015. We will have more to share when the day arrives.
