NuPC is a Compact And Portable Windows 8.1 Running PC Priced 18,999 INR Onwards

Taking inspiration from Mac Mini, Taiwan based WPG Holdings has today launched Intel powered NuPC which serves as a compact Windows 8.1 PC minus the display and peripherals.

To be precise, NuPC is 4 inch by 4 Inch box, 35 mm in thickness and includes 2 USB 2.0 ports on the rear, and One USB 3.0 port on the front surface for 2 low end models. The base Intel Celeron powered variant with 2 GB RAM and 500 GB storage has been priced at 18,999, whereas you will have to shell out 21,999 INR for the 4 GB RAM, 1 TB storage variant.

For similar Intel Core i3 powered NuPC models, you will have to pay Rs 29,999 and Rs 32,999, respectively. For better productivity, Core i3 models have 2 USB 3.0 ports at the front and 2 X USB 3.0 and 2 X USB 2.0 ports on the rear side. Other features include Gigabit Ethernet and full sized HDMI port.

The concept is more like Intex Commute stick or Asus Chromebit sticks, but NuPC promises an experience closer to traditional PCs with better portability and is meant for domestic and business usage.
