Lava Rolls Out Invites For 2nd Gen Android One Smartphone Launch

Lava has confirmed in a fresh invite, that it will be launching an Android One smartphone in India on coming Monday, 27th July 2015. This is the same event which was supposedly scheduled for 14th July, but was later postponed.

According to earlier reports, the new Android One phone is expected to be priced at 12,000 INR and has been designed to remain meaningful over a period of time. The same sentiment is reflected in the invite image above.

According to credible rumors circulating the web, the second gen Android One phone will have a 4.6 Inch HD display and will be powered by MediaTek’s 64 bit 6735 quad core chip, with Mali T760 GPU, 2 GB RAM and 16 GB storage.

A 12 MP rear/ 7 MP front camera combination is also part of the package.Of course the phone will be running latest Android 5.1.1 software and will continue getting updates for the next couple of years.
