Lava has launched a new budget smartphone in its flair series, Lava Flair Z1, priced at 5,999 INR. The good thing is, Flair Z1 is running Android 5.0 Lollipop, in a segment where most OEMs are still content with KitKat.
In line with the price tag, other hardware is quite modest. There is 5 inch FWVGA (854 X 480) pixel TFT display, 1.3 GHz quad core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB storage and 32GB MicroSD card support. For casual photography, there is a 5 MP rear camera and a 2 MP front shooter.
Other features include 3G, Wi-Fi, USB 2.0, GPS, Bluetooth 2.1 and a 2000mAh battery. Lava claims this will last for 15 hours 30 minutes of talktime on 2G networks and 9 hours 40 minutes talktime on 3G.
