OnePlus 2 is official! The handset arrived in full style in world’s first ever VR product launch today. Though most of the specs and even images were revealed beforehand, the OnePlus 2 is still exciting.
OnePlus 2 will be available starting 11th August, only if you have an Invite. The 16 GB variant comes with 3GB RAM and will cost you $329/ 22,999 INR and the 64GB Variant with 4 GB LPDDR4 RAM has been priced at $389/ 24,999 INR.
Surprise addition is a new alert key, which lets you toggle between zero interruptions, priority interruptions and all. The physical key will conveniently help you switch to ‘do not disturb’ mode. The side frame is made of Aluminium alloy.
The display remains 5.5 Inches in size with 1080p resolution. OnePlus chose to steer clear of the PPI wars and instead focus on improving the overall quality of the display on 2. The new display is brighter (600 Nits) and you can see improvement if you compare it side by side with the One.
The 13 MP Camera has larger pixel size for better low light performance. It also lists OIS, dual LED Flash and laser AF. Front selfie camera includes a 5 MP camera sensor.
A lot has already been talked about the 1.8 GHz Snapdragon 810 V2.1 humming inside with all necessary measures taken to avoid overheating and throttling issues. Other features include 4G LTE, USB type C connector, Android Lollipop based Oxygen OS, a fingerprint scanner integrated with the home key and a 3300 mAh battery.
