OnePlus yesterday launched a heavily anticipated update to the One, the 2. We got to spend some quality time with the OnePlus 2 64 GB variant and here we try to answer some popular queries regarding the 2.

Answer – Yes, OnePlus 2 has Gorilla Glass 3 (not 4) layered on the display.
Question – How is the Display on OnePlus 2?
Answer – The display has the same 1080p full HD resolution, but the overall quality has improved. The display is now brighter, consequently has better sunlight visibility and has higher contrast too.

Answer – Both SIM card slots accept Nano SIM

Answer – The most significant changes include larger pixel size (1.3 micrometer), Laser AF and optical image stabilization. There is wide aperture f2.0 lens on top and you can also record 4k videos and slow motion videos at 120fps. We will still reserve our verdict till we have had more time to play with it but for now, it definitely looks better than the OnePlus One camera.

Answer – Performance has been very smooth so far. Snapdragon 810 on the 2 can handle everything you through at it without a sweat.

Answer – GPS locking is fast. Digital compass is also present.

Answer – loudspeaker loudness is average. Though speakers are on the front, it is not too loud.

Answer – With moderate usage OnePlus 2 should last for one day. The backup is less than the One, but it is still pretty good.

Answer –The USB Type C port on OnePlus is based on USB 2.0 and not on USB 3.0. This means you will not get the advantage of high transfer speed, but can enjoy the reversible port on both ends.

No since it is a USB Type C port, Quick charge 2.0 or any other rapid charging tech is not supported.

Answer –OnePlus is unsing single speaker instead of stereo speakers in the OnePlus 2. The loudspeaker seems reasonably loud.

Conclusion
The OnePlus 2 does not justify Never Settle banner to the extent its predecessor did, but it is still a very compelling handset for its price. It can deliver great Android experience for a reasonable price.
