Lenovo backed online-only brand Zuk, which will help it tackle Xiaomi in China, has launched its first smartphone which is analogous to OnePlus 2 One, but with a USB 3.0 type C port and a fingerprint sensor. 8.9 mm thick Zuk Z1 weighs 175 grams even with light aircraft grade aluminium frame around the edges.
USB 3.0 Type C, its ticket to instant global recognition, has actually been implemented better than OnePlus 2. The USB type C port on OnePlus 2 is based on USB 2.0 and thus, besides the convenience of being reversible, it doesn’t offer any boost in data transfer rates unlike the one on Zuk Z1.
Talking about things missing in OnePlus 2, the Zuk Z1 also lists rapid charging, which means you can charge the juicy 4100 mAh battery in just 2.5 hours.
