Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ launched In India for 57,900 INR

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+, which was earlier announced and showcased at Korean manufacturer’s Unpacked Event last week, has been launched today in India for 57,900 INR.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ falls in the same line as Samsung Galaxy Note Edge (minus the S-Pen) from last year, but this year, for the first time, Samsung has somewhat merged its two parallel flagship series, the Note series and the Galaxy S series.

As the name suggests, this is a scaled variant of S6 Edge, with a 5.7 Inch QHD (2560 X 1440) super AMOLED curved dual edge display. It is powered by the same 14 nm process based Exynos 7420 octa core chip as in S6 Edge, paired with 4GB LPDDR4 RAM and 32GB storage non expandable storage.

For photography, there is the same 16MP rear camera with LED Flash, OIS, f/1.9 aperture, and a 5MP front-facing camera with f/1.9 aperture lens. Other features include 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2X2 MIMO), Bluetooth 4.2 LE & apt-X, NFC, Heart rate sensor, Fingerprint sensor and a 3000 mAh battery (non removable, fast charging supported).


The 32GB Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge + will be available in India starting from 28th August. You can choose from Gold Platinum and Silver Titanium colour options. Samsung will also retail keyboard cover for S6 Edge+ for additional 4,599 INR.
