Micromax Offers Windows 10 With Canvas LapTab

Micromax announced that their flagship Canvas LapTab would now ship with Windows 10 pre-loaded, making it the first device in their product line to do so. This is the same Canvas LapTab that was announced earlier this year that came with Windows 8.1 (with the option to upgrade to Windows 10) with the same specifications.

The Canvas LapTab has a touch-enabled 10.1″ WXGA IPS display (screen resolution of 1280×800) and is powered by Intel’s 4th generation Atom quad-core processor (2M cache, upto 1.83 GHz). It comes with 2 GB of DDR3L memory and 32 GB of Flash memory. It also has a microSD card slot which can give you an additional 64 GB of storage. The primary and secondary cameras are both 2 Megapixels and do not come with Flash or auto-focus.

The LapTab comes with a single SIM slot which eliminates the need for a dongle if you are on the move. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi support (802.11b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0, a single USB 2.0 port on the keyboard, 1 Micro USB port on the display and also features USB OTG support which means you can plug in external storage devices too. The LapTab is equipped with a 7700 mAh battery that promises to deliver upto 10 hours of usage and can be charged via any regular micro-USB charger.

For those unfamiliar with the Canvas LapTab, this is a 2-in-1 device, the tablet can be used independently of the keyboard as well and weighs around 1.1 kgs. Available via all retail channels, the Micromax Canvas LapTab is priced at INR 14,999
