Physical Overview

The Alcatel Flash 2 is very ergonomically crafted; it feels very solid and premium in your hand. The non-slip back resembles the sand paper like texture. It has curved back and contoured sides which make is more easy and handy to hold the device in one hand. It has sharp corners with a metal later surrounding the edged of the phone.

As far as Physical Buttons are concerned, on the right side you will see the volume rocker, the power button and the dedicated camera button.

User Interface

The Alcatel Flash 2 runs on authentic Android Lollipop 5.1 which may receive the Marshmallow updater sooner or later. Navigating through the UI is not only a smooth experience, it is also very easy to use and offers pure material design.

Out of 2 GB of RAM, 1.1 GB RAM is available for the users, it is enough for the stock Android to spread out and function with ease.

Camera Overview

Camera is the main highlight of this device, and this time Alcatel has fixed some new equipment for better imaging. The rear camera comes with a gSight camera technology, and with 13 MP, f/2.0 aperture, Samsung’s ISOCELL Sensor and LED flash.

Alcatel uses the correct feature to market its Flash 2, as the camera performance is nothing but great in this price range. The autofocus is snappy; shooting with the manual mode is fun and the dedicated shutter button helps a lot in reducing the blur and shakes. It performs well in outdoors, indoors and low light conditions. And in the darker conditions, the real tone flash balances the colours and exposure really well.

The front camera or the Profile Cam, as called by the manufacturers performed really well as, the auto focus response is very quick and the colours and details look amazing.

Price & Availability

The Alcatel Flash 2 is expected to retail sometime next week and it will be available on Flipkart India website. The price is set to be INR 9,299 only.

Conclusion

If photography drives you and you love taking quality pictures with the smartphone, the Alcatel Flash 2 is a great deal at this price point. The performance is up to the mark, has a juicy 3000 mAh battery, easy to use stock Android and impressive camera performance. But, will this be able to keep up with the existing competition? Let us know your thoughts about this.
