Microsoft Lumia 950, Lumia 950 XL Launched in India, Pre Order Starts Today

Microsoft has launched the much awaited and the first flagship smartphones in their Lumia series. It has launched the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL in Indian market at INR 43,699 and INR 49,399 respectively. Pre-booking for both the smartphones starts today, only on Amazon, Microsoft stores, Chroma and Reliance Digital stores. It will be available from 11th December 2015.

Lumia

The Microsoft Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 Xl are the first devices to be launched with Windows 10 out of the box. The main highlight of these devices is the new Continuum feature that allows the phone to become a Windows 10 PC. Both devices feature almost the same hardware, which makes it obvious that the two won’t be much dissimilar from each other. Both have the same camera module with 20 MP rear with a triple LED flash, OIS, f/19 Aperture and 5 MP front shutter. Both support dual-SIM standby and accept nano SIM in for both the slots. For USB connectivity it has the latest USB Type-C port.

Microsoft Lumia 950

This is the smaller one among the two, it features a 5.2 inch QHD (14440×2560 pixels) AMOLED display with a pixel density of 564 ppi protected with Gorilla Glass 3. Backed by a 3000 mAh battery, it is powered by a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor clocked at 1.8 GHz and 3 GB RAM. Inbuilt storage is 32 GB, it can further be expanded up to 200 GB using microSD.

Microsoft Lumia 950 XL

As the name depicts, Lumia 950 XL is the elder brother of the 950 with a 5.7 inch big display but the same QHD AMOLED display panel with pixel density of 518 ppi. It is powered by a 2 GB octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor and 3 GB RAM.The internal storage is the same, with 32 GB in-built and up to 200 GB expandable via microSD. It packs a larger battery which is 3340 mAh. It also comes with liquid cooling to minimize the heating issues.

There are Black and White variants available for both the phones and will be available for purchase from 11th December. As an introductory offer, Microsoft is giving away the Microsoft Display Dock free with these smartphones if you pre-book the Lumia phone for a limited period.
