Honor 7i Quick Review, Price & Comparison

 

Honor, the co-brand of Huawei has finally launched Honor 7i, the successor of highly successful Honor 7. The smartphone packed in all metal sports a new innovative and meticulous design. This smartphone is currently unveiled in China and as of now there is no official confirmation on whether this smartphone will be available in India.

Honor 7i Physical Overview

Honor 7i is a meticulously designed smartphone with beautiful curves wrapped in metal. This smartphone flaunts a compact 5.2 inches Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display just like its predecessor Honor 7. At the moment it is not clear whether or not it comes with any kind of screen protection but we will update when it comes to our knowledge.

The metal clad smartphone comes with a premium feel to it and feels solid and sturdy to hold. The USP of this smartphone is a 180 degrees wide rotating 13 MP camera which takes high resolution photos without breaking a sweat.

The front of the smartphone is mostly occupied by the touch panel and lacks any branding or logo. There is no secondary camera or whatsoever apart from the speaker grill on the top.

On flipping the device you will notice the unique camera unit which when lifted from the slot doubles up as the secondary camera or the front facing camera for the user. There is Honor branding in the middle of the phone. on the top there is 3.5 mm headphone jack and on the bottom USB charging port. The power button and the Volume rocker is placed on the right side of the panel.

User Interface

Honor 7i comes with the same Emotion Ui 3.1 which we have seen earlier on many smartphones which is very intuitive and easy to use. You can further customize the user interface with an array of launchers and themes.

Camera Overview

The marquee feature of the smartphone is the 13 MP camera that it comes with which acts as both the rear and front camera by rotating 180 degrees and comes equipped with Sony CMOS sensor. You can capture clear and vibrant photos with this device and we can shed more light on the camera quality once the phone is available in India.2015-12-11 (5)

Price & Availability

The smartphone is currently unveiled in China at a price of 1099 Yuan (INR 11,430 approx) for 2 GB RAM variant and 1499 Yuan (INR 15.600 approx). It is expected to hit Indian shores next month.
