CES 2016: Samsung Launches Windows 10 Powered Galaxy Tab Pro S

A Windows powered Samsung tablet was doing the rounds on the internet for quite some time without any credibility to it and shrugged off as merely a rumor. But its not the case anymore. Samsung has finally opened the Pandora box at CES and launched a Windows 10 powered tablet with 12 inches display that goes by the name of Galaxy Tab Pro S. Pricing details are not revealed yet. It is slated to go on sale in select regions starting February, 2016.

Galaxy Tab Pro S is the first 2-in-1 from Samsung that is not running on Android OS. Samsung has launched this tablet to take Google’s Pixel C and Microsoft Surface Pro 4 head on. This tablet runs on Windows 10 versions of your choice like Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Pro and comes equipped with high end specifications to boast off.

Galaxy Tab Pro S dubbed by Samsung as “The Next Stage In Mobile Productivity” features a slim design and weighs only 693 grams. This 2-in-1 tablet boasts of a 12.0 inches AMOLED display sporting Quad HD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels). It is powered by an Intel’s 6th Generation M3 processor under the hood clocking 2.2 GHz coupled with 4 GB of RAM. It is available in two storage variants128 GB and 256 GB SSD (Solid State Drive).

On the camera front Galaxy Tab Pro S features dual 5 MP rear and front facing cameras.  It comes in two different connectivity variants- a WiFi and other with 4G LTE connectivity. Samsung has loaded Galaxy Tab Pro S with a hoard of connectivity features which include Bluetooth, GPS, Micro USB 2.0, USB Type-C and also support NFC (Near Field Communication. A 5200 mAh cell is fueling this tablet which will keep it running for long time.


Galaxy Tab Pro S comes with detachable keyboard and a digital pen which you need to purchase separately if you want to use them. This tablet definitely stands out from the crowd owing to its features and specifications. It will be available for purchase starting February but an exact date is not revealed yet as availability in different regions may differ.
