Leaked 4-inch iPhone 6c Might actually be an iPhone 6S

Recently, the tech blogosphere has been talking a lot about the leaked “iPhone 6C” which was showcased in a video recently. However, there are reasons to believe that the showcased iPhone 6C, the 4-inch offering by Apple is actually an iPhone 6 or 6s, the current 4.7-inch offering by Apple and here’s why!

If you watch the video above, you’ll notice that the distance between the speaker grille, the lightning connector, the microphone and the headphone jack seems to be pretty much what it is in the current iPhone 6s.  If this would have been the iPhone 6c with the smaller screen size, the distance between these elements at the bottom of the phone would have reduced because of the width of the device actually decreasing.

Also, the display width on the showcased iPhone seems to be similar to the existing iPhone 6s, but without an actual scale for the video, it is hard to decode if the device shown is actually an iPhone 6s or not. But the fact that it was not compared to the current model iPhone 6s in the video raises more questions as to if this is actually the newest offering from Apple or not.

The group “M.I.C. Gadget” has previously leaked some iPhones, iPod and iPads correctly which gives this leak some credibility, but on the other hand, they have also made a lot of false leaks in the past. That’s why this leak can actually be false.

According to all the leaks about the iPhone 6c yet, it is expected to pack a 64-bit Apple A8 chip along with 1GB of RAM for multitasking. For the storage, it can pack a 64GB storage chip on board, an 8-megapixel iSight camera for those clear pictures and finally the improved Facetime HD camera with f/2.2 aperture! Also, this smartphone is expected to launch by the end of March this year, for a lower price than the previous iPhones, at approx USD 500.
