Android Based Blackberry Priv Launched At INR 62,990

Blackberry Priv has been keeping the market of rumors hot for quite some time owing to be the first Android based smartphone from Blackberry. This smartphone has officially been launched in India today in an event in New Delhi at a price of INR 62,990 and is slated to go on sale starting January 30.

Blackberry Priv is the first Android based smartphone from Blackberry and it will certainly turn some heads. Blackberry is targeting the flagship segment with this device and it will definitely be a pleasant gift on New Year  to all the blackberry fans who have been desperately waiting to lay their hands on this device.

Blackberry Priv flaunts an truly amazing AMOLED display measuring 5.4 inches with WQHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset clocking 1.8 GHz. This smartphone from Canadian giant Blackberry comes equipped with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to a whopping 2TB with microSD card.

Keeping in mind the keypad loving Blackberry fans Blackberry Priv comes with a slide out keyboard which remains hidden behind the touchscreen and you can just slide it out and start typing to your heart’s content.

Running on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS this smartphone features an 18 MP rear camera with optical image stabilization, Phase Detection Auto Focus, dual-LED flash, and 4K video recording support. There is a 2 MP front facing camera which is capable of recording HD videos. It comes with single sim and 4G LTE connectivity support.

Other connectivity features include WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, microUSB, GPS and it comes with NFC (Near Field Communication) support as well. A 3410 mAh battery under the shell is fueling the smartphone.
