User Interface

Blackberry Priv runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS and the UI is very stock and have all the usual stock features that we have already seen. The UI is fast and fluid and we witnessed no lags of any kind. Multitasking is very smooth too and there is nothing we noticed other than flawless performance.

Camera Overview

Blackberry Priv excels in all areas which includes its shooting capabilities. It features an 18 MP rear shooter with optical Image Stabilization, Phase Detection Auto Focus. Dual tone LED flash does the job perfectly and produces good images. It is capable of recording 4K videos. Images are cear with good amount of details in them and even in low lighting conditions we can click good quality photos.

On the front there is a 2MP camera for video chats and selfies but irrespective of the megapixels, the camera is descent enough and is capable of recording HD videos. This is not the best we have seen but still it will not disappoint you at all.

Price and Availability

Blackberry Priv is priced at INR 62,990 and will be available to purchase starting January 30 from all the Backberry outlets and retail stores across the country.

Comparison And Competition

Blackberry Priv will be competing with the likes of Samsung Galaxy Edge and Samsung Galaxy Edge + smartphones and other which are priced similarly. iPhone 6 will also turnout to be a fierce competitor for this smartphone giving it a run for the money. But still Blackberry is little bit costly than our expectations but it is worth the features and specifications it comes with.

Conclusion

When it comes to Blackberry it is all about the security, privacy and perfection. Blackberry has been trying to do something different for quite sometime and this is the outcome in the form of Blackberry Priv. With a slight changes in design and a slide out keyboard which doubles up as scroll pad or touch-pad is really innovative on the part of Blackberry.
