For testing the gaming performance of the device, I played Dead Trigger 2 and Modern Combat 5 on the phone with full brightness and full volume on the speakers. Here are the battery drop and the temperature increase for both these games.
Game Playing Duration Battery Drop (%) Initial Temperature (In Celsius) Final Temperature (In Celsius)
Modern Combat 5 20 minutes 11% 29.6 degree 35.3 degree
Asphalt 8 30 minutes 14% 28.2 degree 36.8 degree
While playing Dead Trigger 2, I did not notice any major heating issues, but when playing Modern Combat 5, the phone did heat up a bit, especially the edges of the phone. The edges were really hot and it wasn’t possible to hold the phone via the edges.
The primary camera on the Galaxy A5 2016 is a 13-megapixel camera, accompanied by an LED Flash. The secondary camera on the device is a 5-megapixel shooter. Samsung Galaxy A5 2016 Performance and Benchmark Scores
The Galaxy A5 2016 is powered by a 1.6GHz octa-core processor and is accompanied by 2GB of RAM. This should allow the phone to perform better in the benchmarks that we throw at it. Below are the scores that this device gained when tested using Antutu Benchmark, Geekbench 3, Quadrant Standard and Nenamark.
Benchmark App Benchmark Scores
AnTuTu (64-bit) 41559
Quadrant Standard 23939
Geekbench3 Single-Core- 674
Nenamark 59.5 fps
While using the phone for a short period of time, the phone did perform really great and I did not notice any lags while using the phone or even while gaming on the phone with the games that I played on that. The camera of the device is also really good for the shots that we used it for. The only thing that could let down this phone is the price at which it is offered. The phone is available for INR 29,400, which seems a high price for this device.
