InFocus launched their all new InFocus Bingo 50 in India for a very attractive and affordable price, packing some decent specifications under the hood. The phone comes with 3GB of RAM, Android Marshmallow and 16GB of onboard storage that can be expanded up to 64GB via a microSD card. Anyway, let’s dive straight into the news.
InFocus Bingo 50 Specifications
[table id=426 /]
The InFocus Bingo 50 comes with a 5-inch HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Under the hood, the phone is powered by a MediaTek MTK6735 processor, which is a Quad-core processor, clocked at 1.3 GHz. The processor comes coupled with 3GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded via a microSD card slot.
In terms of the camera, the phone comes with an 8MP Rear camera with Autofocus and LED Flash. The front camera on the device is also an 8MP one with Autofocus. The picture clarity from the cameras is expected to be good, but let’s wait until we actually test the device.
The operating system on the device is based on Android Marshmallow 6.0, which came as a surprise. As of writing this news, the InFocus Bingo 50 is the only smartphone in that price range to run on Android Marshmallow out of the box. Even though the operating system is not stock Android, it is still based on Android Marshmallow, which is a good thing.
In terms of connectivity, the phone offers WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3G/4G dual sim, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a microUSB port for charging and data sync. Basically, it has everything that you could ask from a phone at this price point, packed with Android Marshmallow.
Powering the entire device, you have a 2500mAh battery that is sealed inside the phone and hence is not user-replaceable. The 2500mAh battery on the device should be sufficient for a day’s worth of use at least because the display is only an HD display, so it should not take that much power to keep it on.
Pricing and Availability
The InFocus Bingo 50 is priced at INR 7,499 and will be available in two colors only, Sandstone Gray, and Leather Black. The phone will be sold via Snapdeal India, and will be available starting tomorrow.
Conclusion
The InFocus Bingo 50 looks like a good phone for the price at which it is offered. It will be a good competitor to the popular Coolpad Note 3 Lite, which is priced more aggressively at INR 6,999. The company has been building some good hardware in the recent past, and I hope that the Bingo 50 is also the same in terms of its performance.
