The display on the Samsung Galaxy J3 is a Super AMOLED display, which gives it much better colours and outdoor visibility.
In terms of the processor, the Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus features a much more powerful Snapdragon 616 processor, which is an octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz whereas the Samsung Galaxy J3 is powered by a Quad Core Speardtrum SC7731 processor, clocked at 1.2GHz. The Samsung Galaxy J3 and the Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus, both come with Android Lollipop 5.1 out of the box, but this version of Android is covered with the respective company’s custom user interface. The Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus comes with the the Lenovo’s Vibe UI on the smartphone, whereas the Samsung Galaxy J3 comes with the Samsung TouchWiz UI.
Choosing an operating system is mainly a personal preference because someone might like the TouchWIZ UI and some might like the Vibe UI. They both offer similar functionalities at the core level as they both are based on the same Android version.
Camera & Storage
The story with the cameras on both these smartphones is different. The camera on the Samsung Galaxy J3 is an 8-megapixel shooter whereas the one on the Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus is a 13-megapixel shooter. However, the photo quality from the Samsung Galaxy J3 is better when compared to the Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus, based on my initial usage of both these devices.
In terms of storage, the Samsung Galaxy J3 comes with 8GB of internal storage whereas the Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus comes with 16GB of internal storage. Storage on both these phones can be expanded via a microSD card up to 32GB.
