Moto G4 Plus Available On Amazon India Starting At INR 13,499

Lenovo has announced two new smartphones under the Moto brand, it has continues the Moto G series with new phones added to the portfolio namely- Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus. For now, only the G4 Plus will be available for purchase starting last midnight while the G4 is supposed to be available by next month. Both the smartphones will be Amazon India exclusive.

Lenovo Moto G4 Plus

Moto G4 Plus will be coming in two storage options- 2GB RAM/16GB internal storage and 3GB RAM/32 GB- priced at INR 13,499 and INR 14,999 respectively. At this price point, there phones will be competing with Lenovo’s recently launched Zuk Z1, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, Meizu m3 Note and Le 1s.

Motorola claims that the camera on Moto G Plus handset will be the game changer for the G series this time. Another important feature is the newly added fingerprint sensor on the home button that is claimed to be the best that the company could add.

Motorola Moto G4 Plus is based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and supports dual-SIM (Micro-SIM cards). It boasts of a 5.5 inch full-HD (1080 x 1920 p) display with a pixel density of 401ppi and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.


It is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor coupled with Adreno 405 GPU. As we have said earlier, the RAM and internal storage is available in two different options 2GB/16GB or 3GB/32GB. The expansion slot can support up to 128 GB of microSD.

Lenovo Moto G4 Plus

The new camera setup includes a 16 MP camera sensor at the back with f/2.0 aperture, 1.3 um pixel size, PDAF, and laser autofocus, apart from a dual-LED CCT flash. On the front, it sports a 5 MP front-facing wide angle camera having an 84-degree wide field of view and f/2.2 aperture.

Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS/A-GPS. The new frame is slimmer at 7.9 mm and weighs 155 grams. It is powered by a 3000mAh battery that is rated to deliver up to 24 hours of battery backup with mixed usage. It supports Turbo charging and comes with a Turbo charger in the box, which can give 6 hours of battery life with 15 minutes of charging.

The Moto G4 on the other hand comes with almost the same specifications as the Moto G4 Plus, but features a degraded 13 MP camera with f/2.2 aperture, and the laser autofocus is also missing. It doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor, and only comes in 2GB RAM variant. One more point to notice is that both the phones support 4G on first SIM and 3G on the other.
