Let us unbox the Krypton 3 V50JG and try our hands on it.

Physical Overview

Krypton 3 V50JG comes packed in an all plastic body with a subtle and shiny finish all around the body. It has a rectangular design with slight curve on top and bottom sides. It has a flat back with a shuny finish in top, and it feels very soft in touch. The back is not totally flat, it has curves on the sides to give it a comfortable in hand feel and better usability. Sides are protected with gold golored chrome lining, which adds on to the looks. Build quality and dimensions are decent for the price, as it looks good but the feel in hand is pretty ordinary if compared to the metal clad phones.

Display

Krypton 3 V50JG comes with a regular 5 inch 720p IPS display but there is something about this display that impresses me. The icons look sharp but did not overpower the smoothness that we look for. It is a great display for a phone of this range, outdoor visibility is good and viewing angles are very impressive.
It is a good display for watching videos and playing games, as it looks pleasing to eyes and has great details as well.

User Interface

Krypton 3 V50JG comes with the latest version of Android Marshmallow with slight customizations on top. Videocon has done some changes to the app menu and icons, which looks good but at the same time some of you may not like them. Rest of the look and feel is as same as the stock Android. The performance of UI was smooth and I was able to get through my tasks with ease, even after the animations were on.

It offers a lot of pre installed apps like V-safe, V-secure, Tigervpns, SBI app, Theme, VyprVPN, GT Recovery and more.

Gaming Performance

The game-play on this device is pretty smooth and felt really impressive. I installed Dead Trigger 2 on this smartphone and I was able to get through each stage of this 3D game with an ease. Although we know that Dead Trigger is not a very demanding game but with a configuration of MT6735 and 2 GB of RAM, it is the right game to judge. You have to take care of the load on your RAM if you want to have a good gaming experience. We played this game with a very few apps installed and on WI-Fi, things may change when you have loaded it with your data and on a cellular connection.
As far as heating is concerned, I did not experience any heating issue even after using it for several hours.

NOTE:- The gaming performance was tested under an atmospheric temperature of 38 degree Celcius.

Verdict

At this price point Krypton 3 V50JG offers a comfortable and elegant design with a decent pair of camera and great performance. My overall experience with the device was pretty good but the only thing that lacks is the premium feel. The competition is so aggressive in this price range, which affects online market of this smartphone. But we can expect it to do pretty well in offline markets.
