Lenovo Phab2 Pro was launched today, making it the world’s first Tango smartphone. The device was launched at the Lenovo Tech World 2016 event in San Francisco. The Phab2 Pro comes with a huge 6.4 inch Quad HD IPS LCD display and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.

The Lenovo Phab2 Pro runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The device comes with a metal unibody. It features a 6.4 inch Quad HD (2,560 x 1,440 pixel) IPS LCD display with a pixel density of ~459 PPI. It comes with an assertive display that allows it to adapt to variable lighting like sunlight and light reflections.
The Lenovo Phab2 Pro was developed in collaboration with Google as part of Project Tango. Tango enables augmented reality (AR) gaming and utilities. Tango enables motion tracking, depth perception, and area learning. It uses this to recognize places, recreate them and add virtual objects to it.
This will allow you to navigate indoor places or add objects such as a table or a bed to your room. Lenovo has promised that the Phab2 Pro will come with a special app store for Tango. It will come with 25 apps at launch and possibly reach 100 apps by the end of the year.
The dual SIM Phab2 Pro is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor (4 x 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 & 4 x 1.8 GHz Cortex-A72) along with Adreno 510 GPU. It comes with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 256 GB using microSD card. The phone lacks a dedicated microSD slot so the SIM slot 2 can be used to insert a microSD card.

The Lenovo Phab2 Pro comes with a total of four cameras. There is an 8 MP camera on the front with f/2.2 aperture. On the back, there is a 16 MP primary camera with phase detection autofocus, a depth sensing infrared camera as well as a motion tracking camera.
The Phab2 Pro comes with Dolby Atmos that allows it to record in 5.1 surround sound. The device is powered by a 4,050mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. Connectivity options on the device include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS, microUSB v2.0 and FM Radio.
Pricing and Availability
The Lenovo Phab2 Pro has been priced at $499 and will be available online in August and retail stores from September. The device will be available in Champagne Gold and Gunmetal Grey color options.
