The Photo editing application, Prisma, created by Alexey Moiseenkov, was launched in June 2016. Initially, it was launched as a free mobile app for IOS devices, and was available on Apple App Store. In the first week itself it received over 7.5 million downloads and now, the app has over 1 million active users.
The Beta version of the app for Android users was also launched 2 days back, but it has now been stopped after giving one day of trial.
The Prisma app is like any other image editor that can transform your photos into artworks, but instead of very simple filters which are used in other apps, Prisma uses the styles of famous artists like Van Gogh, Picasso, Levitan, as well as world famous ornaments and patterns. Beside that, the Prisma craze has gone to the next level, the first ever music video made by using Prisma have appeared on the web and it looks very cool, check it out yourself.

He told Mashable that ‘I split the original video into frames, 799 to be precise, then edited each of them with the Prisma app.”
So basically he broke the video into separate frames and applied the Traverse Line filter to each of them and then attached those frames again to convert it back to the video. Well, that was really impressive I would say. He came up with an example to show how it is possible to have an app in the future that can create such amazing videos.
