Galaxy Note 7 Features

The Galaxy Note 7 takes over from the Galaxy Note 5 – there is no Galaxy Note 6 due to some reasons. It comes with a curved 5.7 inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display, protected by Gorilla Glass 5. In fact, the phone is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 on both the front as well as the back, making it look elegant as well as tough.

Samsung has always been known for using some of the best displays on their smartphones. The company has taken a step forward with the Galaxy Note 7. The curved Quad HD Super AMOLED panel comes with HDR, a feature that was seen on TVs only until now. This lets Samsung show more colours at a much higher contrast.

The Galaxy Note 7 also comes with an Iris scanner, making the phone more secure than others. With fingerprint sensor already gaining traction across different price segments, the Iris sensor in the Note 7 will help Samsung differentiate from the rest. Additionally, it improves security as well.

The Galaxy Note 7 comes in two variants – one featuring the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and the other featuring Samsung’s own Exynos 8890 processor. Both the versions come with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage. There is support for microSD cards up to 256 GB as well.

Coming to the camera, you get the same 12 MP f/1.7 sensor that we saw in the Galaxy S7. It comes with Optical Image Stabilization and an LED flash. It features the same dual-pixel technology found on the Galaxy S7, with a pixel size of 1.4 µm. The Note 7 can record slow-mo videos and 4K videos @ 30 FPS.

On the front, you get a 5 MP camera with f/1.7 aperture and dual video call support.
