Huawei P9 With Dual Camera Launched In India At Rs. 39,999

Chinese tech giant Huawei has launched its flagship phone Huawei P9 today in India. This device has already been launched in China back in April 2016. This phone comes with elite look and feel and comes with a dual lens rear-facing camera made in collaboration with the popular German optics firm Leica. Colour options include Ceramic White, Haze Gold, Rose Gold, Titanium Grey, Mystic Silver, Prestige Gold.

It features a 5.2-inch Full-HD (1080p) IPS-NEO LCD display with a pixel density of 423 ppi. Under the hood, it runs a 1.8GHz octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 955 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. It has got a 32GB of in-built memory which can be expanded up to 128GB via a micro-SD card slot. Camera optics comprises of a 12mp dual-lens Leica camera setup on the rear with f/2.2, PDAF, 1.25 µm pixel size and a 8MP front camera with f/2.4.

The phone has got a very handy and premium looking design and has also got a Fingerprint sensor on the back. It runs Android Marshmallow (6.0) with Emotion UI 4.1 on top and is backed by a 3000mAh non removable battery. On the connectivity front, it has got 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, Type-C USB.

It has also got all the necesassry sensors like accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor and compass. This phone is extremely sleek at 7mm of thickness and weighs 144 grams only.


Huawei has plans to expand its market with more phones like these in coming time. It is the number 1 smartphone maker in China right now and ranks number 3 globally.

Price and Availability

Huawei P9 is priced at Rs 39,999 which is very close to the global pricing. Huawei is also offering two years warranty and three months display replacement option with P9. Huawei P9 customers will also be given free pick and drop service.
