Lenovo P2 And A Plus New Mid-range And Entry Level Devices Announced

Lenovo has been on fire at this year’s IFA. The company just announced two more smartphones hitting different price points – the Lenovo P2 in the mid-range and the Lenovo A Plus in the entry level segment. While the P2 is unarguably hitting the mid-range spot and comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box, the A Plus comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop.

Lenovo P2 Specs

The Lenovo P2 comes with a 5.5 inch full HD IPS LCD display. The P series from Lenovo has always focused on power, and the Lenovo P2 doesn’t disappoint. The P2 comes with a massive 5100 mAh battery. Coupled with the extremely power efficient Snapdragon 625 processor, you are looking at some amazing battery life.

Coming to the other specs, you get an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor and Adreno 506 GPU. The Snapdragon 625 SoC is built on the 14nm process, making it more power efficient than other Snapdragon 6xx series processors. The phone comes in 3 GB or 4 GB RAM versions, with the internal storage starting at 32 GB. There is an option to expand it using a microSD card up to 256 GB.

The Lenovo P2 also comes with a 13 MP camera with dual LED flash, a 5 MP snapper on the front and a fingerprint sensor to go with the latest trend. The phone comes with a 5100 mAh battery and fast battery charging.

Lenovo A Plus Specs

The Lenovo A Plus is an entry level smartphone, so the specs may not necessarily be impressive. It comes with a 4.5 inch 854 x 480 pixels display, a quad core Mediatek MT6580 processor and 1 GB RAM. The internal storage is fixed at 8 GB and you get an option to expand it using a microSD card.

On the software front, Lenovo is still using Android 5.1 Lollipop for the A Plus, which is a little disappointing. The A Plus comes with a 5 MP camera on the back with an LED flash and a 2 MP camera on the front. A 2000 mAh battery powers the phone.

Pricing And Availability

The Lenovo P2 is priced starting at €249. It will be made available in November.

The Lenovo A Plus starts at €69 and can be purchased now.
