Lenovo Z2 Plus vs Le Max 2 Quick Comparison Review

Lenovo launched its much awaited Z2 Plus in India. It is priced at Rs. 17,999 for the 3GB / 32GB version and Rs. 19,999 for the 4GB / 64GB version. The phone will be available on Amazon India starting from 26th September.

On the other hand, LeEco Le Max 2 was launched in India on 8th June this year. Let us take a look at the complete comparison between Lenovo Zuk Z2 (4GB variant) and LeEco Le Max 2 (4GB/32GB variant).

Design & Build

The Lenovo Zuk Z2 Plus has a 5 inch display with 70.6% screen-to-body ratio and 2.5 D curved glass on the front and the back. It weighs around 149 grams and its dimensions are 141.7 x 68.9 x 8.5 mm. Overall, it has a very simple design combined with very good build quality.


On the other hand LeEco Le 2 has a 5.7 inch IPS LCD display with 73.6% screen-to-body ratio. It wieghs around 185 grams and its dimensions are 156.8 x 77.6 x 8 mm. It is a very premium looking phone with good design and build quality.

Display

Zuk Z2 Plus features a 5 inch LTPS IPS LCD display with a screen resolution of 1920 X 1080 pixels and pixel density of 441 ppi. On the other hand, Le Max 2 comes with a 5.7 inch IPS LCD display with a screen resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and pixel density of 515 ppi.

Camera

Lenovo Zuk Z2 Plus is equipped with a 13 MP primary camera with f/2.2 aperture, 1/2.6″ sensor size, 1.34 µm pixel size, phase detection autofocus and LED flash. It supports 2160p video recording @30fps. While on the front, it has a 8 MP camera with f/2.0 aperture and 1.4 µm pixel size.

On the other hand, Le Max 2 is equipped with a 21 MP primary camera with f/2.0 aperture, OIS, 1/2.4″ sensor size, phase detection autofocus and dual-LED (dual tone) flash. It supports 2160p video recording @30fps, 1080p @30fps and 720p @120fps. While on the front, it has a 8 MP camera with f/2.2 aperture.

Hardware, Storage and OS

Lenovo Zuk Z2 Plus is powered by a Quad-core (2×2.15 GHz Kryo & 2×1.6 GHz Kryo) processor with Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820 chipset. It has 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage that is not expandable.

On the other hand, Le Max 2 is powered by Quad-core processor with 2×2.15 GHz Kryo & 2×1.6 GHz Kryo cores and the same Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820 chipset. It also has 4 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage but it is not expandable via microSD card.

Battery and Other Features

Zuk Z2 Plus is backed by a 3500 mAh Li-polymer battery that is non removable.

On the other hand, Le Max 2 is backed by a 3100 mAh Li-ion battery that is not removable.

Price and Availability

Zuk Z2 Plus is priced at Rs. 19,999 for the 4GB / 64GB variant and it will be available on Amazon starting from 26th September (midnight 25th September)

Le Max 2 (4GB) is priced at Rs. 22,999 and it is available on Flipkart.

Conclusion

According to our experience with both the devices, the only reason to go for Le Max 2 (4GBGB) will be the big screen or IR blaster. Otherwise the Z2 Plus is an amazing alternate for at lesser price point.
