Get Jio SIM on any 4G Phone, Officially Announced

Reliance Jio is the hot topic among Indian smartphone users these days. The entry of Jio has also made other telecom companies to worry about their future. The latest news is that now Jio SIM can be purchased by generating the code on any 4G compatible smartphone. This is a big news for all those who were waiting to get the free Jio SIM with Welcome offer.

According to Jio website, only few mobiles from eligible partner companies  are entitled to get the Jio SIM, but now we can actually generate the code on any 4G phone. The process to get the Jio SIM would be to first download the MyJio app and then generate a code. Then head to any Reliance Digital or DX mini store with your proof of address and proof of identity and get your SIM.

We must also note that we have MyJio app in Apple App Store and it can be downloaded to generate the code and get your hands on Jio SIM. But sadly, we don’t find MyJio app on Windows store, although we have 4G compatible mobiles in windows platform. But an activated Jio SIM can be used in it.

The Jio SIMs were first given with LYF branded devices as preview offer. Then it was extended to Samsung and many other major companies. Post the official launch of Jio on September 1, the Preview offer was replaced by Welcome offer.

In the welcome offer users get daily 4GB high speed data then unlimited data at reduced speeds. They also get unlimited calls and messaging. The added benefit would be to use the Jio fleet of apps which is great. This all benefits would be free till 31st December 2016 as part of Welcome Offer.
