Conclusion

The Huawei Honor 8 Smart is supposed to be a more affordable version of the Honor 8. However, its specs paint an entirely different picture. Save for the UI and Marshmallow, the Honor 8 Smart shares little with the Honor 8. It doesn’t come with the nice camera, the RAM is too little at 2 GB for a phone that costs Rs. 20,000, and it runs on a lower specced Kirin 650 processor. The battery is also average at just 3,000 mAh.

At a time when you can buy phones like the Lenovo Z2 Plus with a Snapdragon 820 processor (the top of the line SoC from Qualcomm). For nearly half the price, you can get the more powerful Redmi Note 3 which comes with 3 GB RAM and Snapdragon 650 processor. Huawei may have priced the Honor 8 Smart a little higher than what it should have.
